Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ purchases facility in Othello, Wash., to grow market access for western pulse crop producers

Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ has purchased a facility to expand its dry bean operations in Othello, Wash., to grow market access for western pulse crop producers.

This investment will allow Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ to expand rail-receiving and storage capabilities at its existing Othello plant to provide greater market access to pulse crop producers across the western Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ trade territory.

“At Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥, we are focused on investing in key geographies across our enterprise to provide Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ owners with market access by connecting them to the global marketplace,” says Rick Dusek, executive vice president, ag retail, distribution and transportation, Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. “We are excited about the access this facility provides to bring pulse crops from Montana and Idaho to Pacific Northwest markets.”

Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ acquired the pulse crops and rail-receiving facility in Othello from Ardent Mills.
